New Request for Services

•   Shall be a qualified Development Expert preferably   in the areas of forestry, tropical forestry, natural resource and sustainable   land management or a socio-economist, with a Masters degree in Development   Studies or a related field
•   Must have a minimum of 10 years professional   experience in developing countries out of which 5 years must be in Sahel   countries focussing on the implementation, formulation, monitoring and   evaluation of rural development/natural resources management programmes that   comprise key activities with focus on fuel wood efficiency and sustainable   on-farm fuel wood production or natural regeneration of trees.
•   Must have solid experience in formulating Call for   Proposals guidelines and annexes for EDF and/or EU –Budget programmes.
•   Must be familiar with participatory techniques and   have experience in the application of gender into project documents.
•   Must be conversant with recent development issues   especially as they relate to addressing the progressing desertification, land   degradation and fuel wood shortage in the Sahel and in northern Nigeria.
•   In depth knowledge of the European Development Fund   (EDF) procedures is mandatory.
•   Must be able to communicate clearly in English and   formulate documents that can be easily understood by majority of the   stakeholders (CSO including community associations).
